On November 21, 2022 the entire Smart Building teachers team at Graafschap College analysed their curriculum in relation to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These SDGs are leading for the Erasmus+ KA2 project ‘Constructing a green wave in VET’ (or Green Wave).
With three teachers already actively involved in the Green Wave project goals – after participating in the Teacher Trainer Course in October 2022 – the next step was to get the entire team on board with implementing the 17 SDGs in our curriculum.
The first step was to acknowledge how the Goals already are existing part of our classes and projects. This analysis was done on separate themes, in smaller groups of construction, installations, electricity, and social studies teachers. They stickered the SDGs onto their education program, and elaborated on how they can actively implement them further in their classes.
Goal for this activity was to get the Green Wave objectives into each teachers’ mindset and increase awareness. Their awareness was reactivated in a constructive way.
